The visual style has been updated and features for 64bit Windows have been added.- A new configuration instruction 64bit intructs the stub to require a 64bit version of Windows.
- The banner area has been discontinued and all related statements are now ignored.
- A new statement CustomBorder has been added together with ColorTitle and ColorBorder.
- The Microlight and Installer stubs now include a white area above the buttons that can include an image - JPEG and GIF formats are recommended but other formats are supported.
- The File Extractor stub is now menu-driven.
- The default value of the Title is now determined by the ProductName and ProductVersion values.

- Added a Graphical User Interface to the configuration editor.
Primary configuration values can be set by dialog but less frequently used values must be set using the text editor. - Added support for Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC).
This required some structual changes internally so minor changes in behaviour may be observed on other platforms. - Added UAC instruction to display a UAC prompt at startup, before extraction or before executing a command.
- Added Launch Instruction to open the application with standard privileges when installation is complete.
The Launch command is performed when the Execute command has completed (if its exitcode is zero). - The default backfill color is now black (rather than navy) under Vista.
The default banner color is now black (rather than white) under Vista. - If no icon is defined, a windows default is used in the titlebar but is not displayed in the banner area.
- Added BannerShowIcon instruction to determine if the icon is displayed in the banner area.
- The stub programs are now stored with other application data. Backup stubs are stored in the Zipfusion program directory. If a stub is missing from
the application data or is older than its backup, the backup is copied on demand.
Under XP, Zipfusion application data is typically stored in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Zipfusion
Under Vista, Zipfusion application data is typically stored in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Zipfusion

- The Microlight stub now supports the statements BackfillText, BackfillColorText and IntroMessage.
- The Microlight stub now supports comment and quote filtering - syntax highlighting is now enabled in the editor.
If the filename part of the Execute statement contains spaces, the whole instruction must be wrapped in single quotes. - The Installer stub now supports the statement AutoStart.
- Comment and quote filtering has been adjusted.
Semicolon is no longer supported as a comment char when placed at the start of a line. - Added the statement FastExtract.

The [title], [logo] and [dialog] sections are now ignored.
The Language statement must now be placed in the [sfx] section. - Three stub programs are included instead of two.
All stubs are supplied without icons however icons can be added. - The Install statement is no longer used, instead the appropriate stub program must be selected.
- The ShowLicense statement has been replaced by the LicenseFile statement. ShowLicense is no longer supported.
- The /Test switch is no longer supported.
- Most other changes are visual but there are some minor behavioural changes.
- The Zipfocus zip file reader is no longer based directly on any of the stub programs but its behaviour and appearance broadly match those of the File Extractor stub.
Version 4.1 28th April 2006
- Added console build program, ZFBuild.exe.
This is command-line-compatible with the GUI program ZFusion.exe but has error handlers designed for console/batch use and is recommended for these applications. - Added support for central registration on a network server.
- Corrected a minor fault in the Microlight stub - the progress bar now works correctly for large archives.
- Added stub utilities menu to the configuration editor allowing the stub programs to be compressed or decompressed and icons to be changed.

Previously, stub programs were always precompressed.
Compression/decompression require the program upx.exe to be installed in the Zipfusion program folder.
Changing the icon in a compressed stub requires decompression and recompression.
UPX can be downloaded from http://upx.sourceforge.net/
Zipfusion has been developed and tested with UPX versions 1.24w, 1.25w and 2.00w.

- There should be no substantial compatibility issues with earlier versions but there are some minor scripting changes and several additions.
